The Public Service in Singapore plays a key role in the lives of Singaporeans and in the competitiveness of our economy. Through the work that it does, the Public Service provides infrastructure, homes, education, law and order and defence, and creates the right environment for our people to earn a good living, raise a family and lead a fulfilling life.
The world does not stand still and neither can Singapore afford to do so. Now more than ever, the Singapore Public Service needs to remain relevant and responsive in its service, and have the courage and initiative to make changes to do things better.
The key to developing a first class Public Service lies in inculcating our core values of Integrity, Service and Excellence in our staff. The challenge is to improve continuously so that we will be ready for the future.
