World•Singapore is an overarching framework of new growth strategies for Singapore. With its four key thrusts and 19 Action Areas, World•Singapore also provides an organizing framework for the Public Service - presenting in a coherent way the various initiatives of Government aimed to sustain growth, strengthen Singaporeans’ emotional attachment to Singapore, and make Singapore a great place to work, live and play.
The World•Singapore Central Secretariat plays a monitoring and coordinating role within this framework. Comprising officers from SPO, the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Trade & Industry, the Central Secretariat tracks progress of the various Action Areas as well as that of World•Singapore as a movement. It aims to support World•Singapore by identifying synergies and overlaps, and facilitating information sharing amongst the various Action Areas and relevant inter-agency committees and platforms. Similarly, the Central Secretariat provides process support, particularly in the areas of HR and finance, to further strengthen the Public Service’s ability to operate as a networked government. | |
