Your journey begins with your work in your parent agency. You will have gained a better understanding of your parent agency’s work, where you will be able to contribute after your work immersion in China. In addition, you will be offered developmental opportunities, which include induction programmes to prepare you for your work immersion stint in China, and for your future China-related work.
For a period of 6-12 months, you will be attached to either the China office of a public sector agency, or a private sector firm in China. Besides having the chance to be involved in project work, you will have the opportunity to interact with the Chinese nationals, and experience the Chinese work environment and culture.
After your China attachment, you will return to your agency to continue your journey with the Singapore Public Service. You will have the opportunity to be deployed to perform China-related work, and will be expected to draw on the knowledge and skills you have acquired. |
