Introductory visit by Mr Chan Chun Sing to China and Meeting with His Excellency Shi Taifeng, September 2025

Coordinating Minister for Public Services and Minister-in-charge of the Public Service Mr Chan Chun Sing Met Member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and Minister of the CPC Central Committee Organization Department His Excellency Shi Taifeng in Beijing, China on 17 September 2025

1          Coordinating Minister for Public Services and Minister-in-charge of the Public Service Mr Chan Chun Sing is in China from 15 to 18 September 2025 to attend the 12th Beijing Xiangshan Forum.

2          As part of his introductory visit to China, Mr Chan met Member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and Minister of the CPC Central Committee Organization Department His Excellency Shi Taifeng at Diaoyutai State Guesthouse on 17 September 2025 in Beijing, China. The two Ministers exchanged views and insights on leadership development and governance. They also reaffirmed the strong ties forged between generations of senior public officials of Singapore and China and reinforced both countries’ commitment to deepening leadership exchanges and people-to-people cooperation.
