Number of Employment Pass Holders in Ministries and Statutory Boards

Mr Abdul Muhaimin Abdul Malik: To ask the Prime Minister and Minister for Finance (a) how many Employment Pass holders are currently employed across all statutory boards and Government agencies; and (b) what are the most common roles that Employment Pass holders are employed for across all statutory boards and Government agencies.

There are currently around 2,700 Employment Pass Holders in Ministries and Statutory Boards. They generally work in job roles that require skills that are in shortage among our local workforce, such as engineering and information technology.
