3 November 2026
Parliament Sitting: 3 November 2026
Mr David Hoe: To ask the Prime Minister and Minister for Finance regarding the removal of personal information and funeral-plan storage in MyLegacy@LifeSG from January 2027 (a) what utilisation data and user consultations informed this decision; (b) whether alternatives for securely storing and sharing such plans will be offered; and (c) whether these functions can be retained.

My Legacy’s core purpose is to bring trusted legacy planning information and Government services under a single portal, and to guide citizens through the various aspects of legacy planning.
Following a review, we decided to discontinue the storage for personal plans and sharing of information entered by users themselves. Usage of these features has been relatively low. More importantly, such information may become outdated or inconsistent with other official records over time if not properly maintained by the users. We therefore decided that My Legacy should focus on information from authoritative and established sources. Official records such as Lasting Power of Attorney, Advanced Care Plan and CPF nomination will continue to be available on My Legacy.
We have no plans to retain the storage functions or to introduce another storage service.
Affected users were informed on 12 August 2026 and were given more than 4 months – until 4 January 2027 to download their information. They may continue to keep their personal plans through other means, including sharing them directly with trusted family members or appointed representatives.
