MoU on SVSD
2. The Public Service Division of Singapore and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam have agreed on this MoU to jointly organise the SVSD under the ambit of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between both countries. The SVSD aims to promote high-level discussions and exchanges among leaders and senior officials on matters relating to national development and bilateral cooperation. It reflects Singapore and Vietnam’s shared commitment to deepening cooperation and exchange on issues of mutual interest.
About the SVSD
3. The SVSD will be held in Singapore and Vietnam on a reciprocal basis. It is the first regular, high-level forum that brings together senior political office holders from both countries. It will also be a platform for the public services of both countries to exchange views and approaches on matters such as those related to governance, public administration, and digital transformation. Singapore will host the inaugural SVSD in August 2026; more details will be shared closer to the date.
4. The establishment of the SVSD underscores the strong and enduring bilateral relationship between Singapore and Vietnam, as well as Vietnam's significance as a key partner to Singapore.
