Mr Siew Kum Hong: To ask the Prime Minister and Minister for Finance how many Administrative Officers are on (i) grades MR4 and above; (ii) grades SR9 up to, but excluding, MR4; and (iii) timescale.

Written Reply (for the Prime Minister) by Mr Teo Chee Hean, Minister in charge of the Civil Service and Minister for Defence:

As at 1 July 07, there are a total of 234 Administrative Officers. This comprises the following:

(a)        4 Administrative Officers in grades MR 4 and above
(b)        145 Administrative Officers in grades SR 9 and above, but excluding  MR4; and
(c)        85 Administrative Officers at the timescale level
