Take–up rate of childcare sick leave by public officers

Mr Louis Ng Kok Kwang: To ask the Prime Minister and Minister for Finance for each year from 2021 to 2023, what is the take-up rate of childcare sick leave by public servants.

Oral Reply by Mr Chan Chun Sing, Minister for Education and Minister-in-charge of the Public Service:

1.       In the past three years, about half of the eligible officers in the Civil Service took up Childcare Leave that was supported by a Medical Certificate.
