Minister for Education and Minister-in-charge of the Public Service Chan Chun Sing and Executive Vice Minister of the Central Organisation Department of the Communist Party of China Jiang Xinzhi to Co-chair the 8th Singapore-China Forum on Leadership

MINISTER FOR EDUCATION AND MINISTER-IN-CHARGE OF THE PUBLIC SERVICE CHAN CHUN SING AND EXECUTIVE VICE MINISTER OF THE CENTRAL ORGANISATION DEPARTMENT OF THE COMMUNIST PARTY OF CHINA JIANG XINZHI TO CO-CHAIR THE 8TH SINGAPORE-CHINA FORUM ON LEADERSHIP, 29 OCTOBER 2021

Minister for Education and Minister-in-charge of the Public Service Chan Chun Sing and Executive Vice Minister of the Central Organisation Department (COD) of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Jiang Xinzhi will co-chair the 8th Singapore-China Forum on Leadership and deliver the keynote addresses on 29 October 2021. This year’s forum will be hosted virtually and is themed “Risk Management and the Strategic Role of Leadership”. 

Prior to the Forum, Senior Minister Teo Chee Hean will meet Member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and COD Minister Chen Xi via videoconference. As part of Singapore’s planned transition, Senior Minister Teo Chee Hean will hand over the Singapore co-Chairmanship to Minister Chan Chun Sing.

The Singapore delegation, led by Minister Chan, includes Minister for Communications and Information and Second Minister for Home Affairs Mrs Josephine Teo; Minister for National Development and Minister-in-charge of Social Services Integration Mr Desmond Lee; Minister of State, Ministry of Communications and Information and Ministry of National Development Mr Tan Kiat How; Parliamentary Secretary, Ministry of Communications and Information and Ministry of Health Ms Rahayu Mahzam; as well as senior government officials from Ministries.

Executive Vice Minister Jiang will be accompanied by Central Party School Executive Vice President Li Shulei; COD Vice Minister Wang Xiaoping; COD Secretary-General Hu Jinqi; Vice Minister of Civil Affairs Wang Aiwen; Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs Wu Jianghao; as well as senior Chinese officials. 

First hosted by China in 2009, the Forum on Leadership is a strategic platform for political leaders and senior officials of Singapore and China to discuss and exchange experiences on common challenges related to leadership development.
